was established in 1996. In April 1998, the company was granted a 20 years license under the repealed Telecommunication Act 1950.

The company migrated under the provisions of the new Communication and Multimedia Act 1998 (CMA), and on the 8th May 2001, the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC) granted the company the necessary licenses to operate its present business.

Traditionally, these towers were owned and operated by the network service providers themselves. But now, Asiaspace has developed a system for sharing telecommunication towers for the benefit of multiple network service providers. This essentially takes away the burden on infrastructure ownership, thus, taking the substantial capital outlay and operating expenses incurred by the network operators.

Asiaspace was to :

    meant to be leased by mobile service provider
    operators on a shared basis.
